Suitable for those who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or where there is family history of prostate cancer.
Why should I test?
In a single visit to our clinic you will receive an easy to read report straight to your email. Our genetic prostate cancer risk blood test screens and detects genetic variants in 11 genes which may increase the risk of prostate cancer.
Genes List tested:
ATM, BRCA1, BRCA2, CHEK2, EPCAM, HOXB13, MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, NBN, PALB2, PMS2, RAD51D and TP53
Our Phlebotomy trained professionals will take a blood sample from a vein in your arm, using a small needle. This sample will be tested by our authorised lab partners. Results from this blood test can be expected to take approximately 6 weeks after the lab receives the sample due to extensive testing. The associated fees cover the phlebotomy costs (taking the sample) and the lab tests.
Highway Health Group LTD will not review your blood test results – we recommend you discuss these results with your healthcare provider or GP. Depending on the results of your blood test, you may require further investigation with your healthcare provider.
