Why should you test?
If you simply want to find out your baby’s gender as soon as possible this blood test is created for you. From as early as six weeks we can use your maternal blood to look for male chromosomes, if any are found this indicates you are carrying a baby boy, if no male chromosomes are found our lab partners can confirm you are carrying a girl.

Test information

This blood test involves none invasive prenatal DNA testing but is not as comprehensive as our NIPT testing as we only look for male/female chromosomes in the maternal blood. Our lab partners confirm that the test is 99.9% accurate and can be carried out from 6 weeks gestation. Pregnancies who are earlier than six weeks and take this test may affect the accuracy of the results.

Our Phlebotomy trained professional will take a blood sample from a vein in your arm, using a small needle. This sample will be tested by our authorised partners. Results from your blood tests can be expected between 5 – 7 working days after the lab receives the sample
Oh Baby LTD will not review your blood test results – we recommend you discuss these results with your healthcare provider or GP. Depending on the results of your blood test, you may require further testing with a healthcare professional.
