Our dedicated Breastfeeding Support consultation aims to inform, educate, and support families in feeding and nurturing babies and young children. We also want to support the mental and physical wellbeing of breastfeeding mothers and babies throughout their journey. We will work on any breastfeeding issues you are experiencing and provide you with the tools for a successful breastfeeding journey for you and your little one. During the appointment our experienced midwife can help establish a good latch from your baby and teach you different positions and holds that you can use throughout your breast-feeding journey. It is important to remember breastfeeding, although a natural process, it is a learned skill that takes practice. We can help ensure that you can start breastfeeding and continue for as long as you would like to, as well as provide support and guidance when you choose to end the journey. We are also on hand to be able to accurately weigh your baby to help provide peace of mind that your baby is gaining weight and feeding thoroughly. The appointment provides an opportunity for you to receive accurate answers with up to date guidance in mind and voice any queries that you may have throughout your feeding journey. You are welcome to bring your partner along to help educate them on breastfeeding and how they can provide support.
